I’m now hosting and guiding fishing trips to Patagonia, Chile, after recently partnering with Yankee Way Lodge — a high-end, lakefront destination near Puerto Varas and Puerto Montt (fly in via Santiago).

The Lodge Experience:
- Private bungalows surrounded by jungle foilage with 2 bedrooms including the loft, 3 beds, full bathroom with shower, heat with stunning views and room service
- Wood-fired sauna and hot tubs
- Culinary experience with aged steaks, local organic produce and house-made specialties
Fishing Program:
- Fishing from 18’ Smoker Craft boats with Yamaha jets and trolling motors
- Private estuary access (no outside angling pressure)
- 1–2 lightly-pressured rivers depending on tides, conditions and fish movements
- Tactics range from trolling in the estuary to back-trolling, float, jig, and spinner fishing
- Targeting massive kings: 30–50 lbs average, some exceeding 70–80 lbs
- Fresh gear and tactics to elevate success rates — 2–5 shots/day on average, up to 10+
- Catch & release with slot-limit harvest: 2 fish/day between 20–34", up to 50 lbs total per person
- All gear provided: G. Loomis & EDGE rods, Shimano Tekota reels
Trip Details:
- 5 Days Fishing / 6 Nights Lodging: $7,000 per angler
- Extra Day of Fishing: +$1,400 per person
- Non-Angler Rate: $3,500 (perfect for spouses or family)
Non-anglers can enjoy spa treatments, local excursions, and full access to lodge amenities.

What to Bring:
- Layered clothing — mornings can be cool, but mid-day warms up fast
- Waterproof rain jacket and pants
- Base layers (top and bottom)
- Warm socks (multiple pairs)
- Comfortable, waterproof boots or wading boots
- Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen
- Headlamp or flashlight
- Adapters for power outlets (Chile uses 220V Euro-style plugs, Type C & L)
- Any personal medications or toiletries

Itinerary Options:

- Fly from your closest airport to Santiago, then connect to Puerto Montt (1hr 30 min flight)
- Day 1: Arrive and settle in and eat at the lodges restaurant
- Days 2–5: Guided fishing based on tides and conditions
- Day 6: Departure from Puerto Montt
Payment Terms / Trip Insurance Policy:
- We highly recommend all clients purchase travel insurance to protect their airfare and other travel costs in case of unexpected trip changes or cancellations.
- We closely monitor conditions—rainfall, water temps, and fish movement—for the best possible experience. Nature can be unpredictable.
- If conditions are unfavorable (e.g., low rainfall or high temps), we reserve the right to cancel. Deposits will be fully refunded in that case.
- Otherwise, refunds only apply if your spot is refilled.
- 50% deposit to book

Togiak River Lodge – Remote Alaska Fishing Experience
Nestled in remote Northern Bristol Bay, 350 miles southwest of Anchorage, Togiak River Lodge offers one of Alaska’s most diverse and action-packed fisheries. With direct charter flights from Anchorage, you'll arrive at the lodge ready to fish by late morning on your travel day. The river is loaded with life — from hard-fighting kings to colorful Dolly Varden, and every species in between.
What Makes It Special:
- Catch 4–5 Pacific salmon species in a single trip: King, Sockeye, Chum, Pink & Coho
- Incredible fly and conventional fishing with multiple tactics ised through a day — gear provided for both styles
